| Procedure: Enable AutoLogon in Windows XP | |
| Note:
This procedure will most likely work on Windows 2000, but it has not been
tested as of
11-09-2007. 1. Click Start -> Run. 2. Enter "control userpasswords2" as the command line; Press ENTER. 3. A dialog box should appear; With the checkbox next to the following text UNCHECKED, highlight the user you wish to autologon: "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer. " 4. Click "OK." 5. A second smaller dialog box will open for you to enter and confirm the password for the selected user. 6. Reboot the computer to apply & test the new settings. |
